Interested in the differences between architecture as drawn and as lived-in, Maggie Johnson (red) and I (blue) each array furniture and clutter in Mies van der Rohe’s Farnsworth House. When overlayed, our schemes fill the empty modernist design with the detritus of everyday life.

Leander Brotz and I studied Aldo Rossi’s and the interwoven concepts of typology, temporality, and memory within the architect’s theory of the analogous city. Both composed of observations and an imagined construction, in many ways, the analogous city becomes more real and more impactful than any built environment.

The Teatro del Mondo travels around the globe, fitting in to diverse cityscapes.
